The BSC is made of 7 categories of indicators which are further divided into some 30 sub-categories. For each sub-category of
indicator, there are a number of criteria which the hospital need to meet in order to earn points. The BSC measures quality of care according to seven categories of indicators.
The maximum number of points is 1,000.
This heat map shows the scores obtained by the hospital in percentage and in actual points for each category every quarter.
Each category of indicator has a different weight. In August 2015, a review of the BSC led to a revi-sion of the number of points allocated to each category and indicator.
The list below shows the max-imum number of points for each category. The first number indicates the weight from Q2-2014 to Q2-2015, and the second number indicates the weight from Q3 2015.

2. On-site training, Capacity building, Library (60 pts, 60 pts)
3. Patient satisfaction (100 pts, 100 pts)
4. Quality assurance (130 pts, 130 pts)
5. Surgery (50 pts, 80 pts)
6. Maternity (200 pts, 195 pts)
7. Pediatric/Neonatal (150 pts, 165 pts)
The color gradient varies based on the score obtained. The higher the score, the darker the color. The lower the score, the lighter the color becomes.
